Your Opportunity
We are looking for a Purchase Ledger Officer to join our Finance team on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave. This is a great opportunity to join one of our regional finance teams and, ultimately, to make a difference to the outcomes of the children and young people attending the schools within our Multi Academy Trust.
The successful candidate will work as part of the finance team, led by the Finance Partner, to deliver an expert service to our schools by:
- ensuring accurate and timely processing and BACS payment of purchase invoices
- resolving payment queries with suppliers
- ensuring compliance with goods ordering and receipting processes
- liaising with school-based colleagues as required
The successful candidate will have a base at Cherry Fields Primary School in Banbury and as a flexible employer, we are also able to offer remote working for part of the hours.

- Experience working within a Finance Department
- Experience of working with a financial accounting system
- Accuracy and attention to detail

The Details
Contract type: Temporary (maternity cover)
Salary: GLF Associate 2 - £22,824 FTE
Pro-rata Salary: £14,690.99 (based on term time plus 3 weeks)
Hours: 25 hours a week, 42 weeks of the year (term time plus 3 weeks)
Location: Cherry Fields Primary School in Banbury. As a flexible employer, we are also able to offer remote working for part of the hours.
Start date: ASAP
Closing Date: 2nd February 2025
