We have a fantastic opportunity for a procurement expert to join GLF Schools on a 2-year fixed term contract.
Your Opportunity
Are you experienced in public sector procurement and passionate about making processes simpler, clearer, and more effective? We’re looking for a Procurement Specialist to spearhead a vital project: leading on the build and launch of a centralised Procurement Support Hub on SharePoint for our multi-academy trust.
This hub will empower non-procurement staff with accessible tools, templates, and training, improving compliance and delivering better value across all our purchasing activity. You’ll take the lead from concept to completion—designing resources, managing implementation, and supporting staff at every level.
The successful candidate will:
- Design and launch a user-friendly SharePoint-based Procurement Hub to support schools and central teams
- Create and maintain templates, process guides, flowcharts, FAQs, and toolkits for staff unfamiliar with procurement
- Deliver training and guidance to ensure consistent understanding and application of best practices
- Work closely with the Procurement Manager to align the hub with the Trust’s procurement strategy and current legislation
- Ensure compliance with the Procurement Act 2023 and other related legislation
- Support high-value procurement projects and provide backup for the Procurement Manager when required
- Keep documentation accurate and up to date to ensure long-term usability and effectiveness
We would like someone to join us on a fixed term 2 year contract, and would consider either full or part time hours. Please specify your preference in your personal statement. This will be a hybrid post, with opportunities to work from home and at one of our satellite offices in either Banstead, Camberley, Horsham or Banbury.
What we are looking for
- Solid understanding of public sector procurement rules and best practice
- Proven experience in creating user-friendly process documentation and tools
- Strong SharePoint and digital collaboration tool skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Confidence in managing projects independently and meeting deadlines
