š±About Southgate Primary School
Southgate Primary is a safe and happy school, where the team ensures the care and support for every child as they grow, learn, and flourish during their time in the school. Southgate Primary School is proud of its curriculum, carefully chosen to provide aspirational opportunities for all children to succeed. Whilst within school, staff and children love sharing their learning through open classrooms, workshops, and class assemblies.
In the recent Ofsted, Inspectors observed Southgate as a friendly and respectful place, noting that āThe schoolās values of āaspiration, respect, resilience and co-operationā filter through everything." They praised the pastoral support Southgate provided for the children, stating that āPupilsā physical and mental well-being are prioritised.ā The report recognises that the children are well behaved, they contribute positively to lessons and play well together at social times, and that any child who needs extra care or support receives it quickly. (Ofsted, 2023)
