Lightwater Village School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Wrap Around Play Leader to join their team on a permanent, part-time basis, working Monday to Friday 2.30pm – 6pm.
Your opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the wrap around provision at Lightwater Village School, creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for our children. As Play Leader, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running and long-term development of the provision, planning engaging activities, promoting positive behaviour, and ensuring high standards of care. This is a fantastic role for someone who is passionate about making a difference in children’s lives within a supportive and collaborative school environment.
What we are looking for
- Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting
- Level 3 childcare qualification (desirable)
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training
- Ability to build positive relationships with children and encourage engaging, inclusive play
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Friendly, approachable, and resilient with a supportive team spirit
- Committed to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment

Our school stands at the heart of the village community of Lightwater. We offer an outstanding start to education for children from 2 to 11 years old, consistently achieving excellence, yet also engaging children in imaginative and exciting themes whereby learning comes alive.
Our School sits within a newly established cluster of schools, overseen by a Regional Director. The Details
Start Date: January 2026
Salary: £25,001 FTE
Pay Scale: Associate 3.1
Actual Salary: £10,187.29
Hours: 17.5 hours - Monday to Friday 2.30pm – 6pm (38 weeks)
Closing Date: Friday 12th December at 9.30am
