Are you in search of a new opportunity to teach PE in a growing school? We are looking for a talented and motivated Teacher of PE, who can inspire our students through high‑quality teaching and a genuine passion for sport and wellbeing. Due to supervision requirements in the female changing rooms, we would particularly welcome applications from female PE practitioners. We would also be especially interested in candidates with a dance or gymnastics specialism, to further strengthen our developing curriculum.
We are keen to hear from teachers at any stage of their career, ECTs are encouraged to apply.
Your opportunity
The PE team is committed to creating a supportive environment where professional development, learning from each other and sharing good practice is at the heart of the department.
As a department our vision is to provide a curriculum that is accessible to all students through the delivery of high quality teaching and learning of a broad range of activities. We value the opportunities that extra-curricular can provide. As a result, we have a broad programme, and all members of the Department are actively involved in running clubs at lunchtime, coaching team practices and attending competitive matches after school.
We also run an inclusive set of house tournaments throughout the year and a whole school competitive Sports Day at the end of the year. These events are centred around mass participation and developing the house ethos across all year groups. We will offer you the support of a leadership team dedicated to helping young people striving for more and as a GLF Schools’ employee, you will be exposed to significant collaboration opportunities across our schools.
We're looking for someone who will:
- Be an excellent classroom practitioner
- Be actively involved in providing extra-curricular opportunities
- Have high standards of communication and interpersonal skills
- Be enthusiastic and committed to working as part of a team
- Be passionate about student welfare
