An exciting opportunity has become available for a Learning Assistant at Forge Wood Primary School in Crawley.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Learning Assistant to play a key role in supporting the Class Teacher in the teaching and welfare of the children’s development.

The candidate we are looking for should:
•Be able to develop positive relationships with young children.
•Be able to develop an understanding of the educational, welfare and social needs of the child with whom you are supporting.
•Be able to stay calm and objective when presented with unusual or challenging behaviour.
•Be enthusiastic and committed to working as part of a team.
•Be a confident and clear communicator with parents.
•Be flexible with regard to other classroom work
•Experience of working with children with SEND is desirable but not essential

Start Date: ASAP
Salary: Associate 2, £17,900 per annum full time
Pro Rata: £14,330
Hours of work: This role is term time only (39 weeks) 33.5 Hours per week 8.30am-3.30pm and attendance at weekly staff training sessions after school on Wednesday until 4.30pm.
