GLF Schools are pleased to be working in partnership with LMP Education to offer a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship with optional Sports Pathway, based at Cordwalles Junior School.
Your opportunity
This Level 3 Teaching Assistant apprenticeship is designed to enhance your skills in supporting classroom teachers and engaging with children. The course promotes self-belief, social inclusion, and high self-esteem and plays an integral part in pupils’ well-being; ensuring pupils thrive in a positive, nurturing, safe environment. The course plays an active role in supporting the learner to access the curriculum. The Sports Pathway option offers a specialised route for those who are interested in physical education in education.
The Details:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship with optional Sports Pathway.
- Applicants should hold a GCSE (or equivalent) at Grade 4/C minimum in Maths and/or English. If you do not hold one of these qualifications, we may be able to support you in completing your Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths or English alongside the apprenticeship programme.
- Duration of the programme is typically 16 months, however this will be longer if you are a part-time worker.
- The training is a blended delivery model which occurs on the job during working hours. You will be provided with a mentor to support you during your apprenticeship.
- The apprenticeship training costs will be covered by the GLF Apprenticeship levy fund

The Details:
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: Year 1 is £14,171.65. After completing your first year, this increases to £18,770.40 for 18–20-year-olds and £22,918.66 for those aged 21 and over.
Hours: 33.5hrs Monday - 8.30am to 4.30pm and Tuesday to Friday – 8.30am to 3.30pm (39 weeks incl. INSET)
